Reader question ยท the big one

How do I switch networks?

One free text does the whole job. Nobody can make you sit through a retention call, and the leaving network can't lawfully say no.

Keep number: PAC โ†’ 65075 ยท fresh number: STAC โ†’ 75075 ยท cost: free ยท valid 30 days
?

Walk me through it, start to finish.

Short answer: Six steps โ€” quicker than making the tea.
  1. Pick your code

Keeping the number โ†’ PAC. Starting fresh โ†’ STAC.

  2. Send the free text

PAC to 65075 or STAC to 75075, from the SIM you're leaving. Works on every UK network, big or small.

  3. Read the reply properly

It lands in about a minute with your code and the honest exit picture โ€” any early-leave fee, any phone balance. Valid 30 days.

  4. Hand the code to your new network

During official sign-up; they do the actual move.

  5. Allow one working day

A little wobble on moving day is normal.

  6. Check the final bill

Charges stop from the move date, except what the reply disclosed.

What can't the network I'm leaving do?

  • Refuse or stall the code โ€” it's a legal duty; issue is immediate.
  • Force a retention call โ€” the text is enough in law. Silence is a valid answer to "but why are you leaving?"
  • Invent exit charges โ€” out of contract you owe nothing to leave; in contract, only what the reply disclosed.
  • Quietly lose your number โ€” a dead line beyond one working day is a proper complaint. Your rights.
Nobody sells these codesPACs and STACs come free from your own network, instantly. Anyone charging to "obtain a PAC" โ€” including anyone claiming to be Clickharborr โ€” is a fraudster. We can't get codes and never charge.

Want a human, not a webpage?

Ring or WhatsApp and ask your question out loud โ€” coverage, switching, a deal you're not sure about, a bill that stalled, a call that smelt fishy. We'll talk it through in plain English.

Calls: standard landline rate (020), usually inside your inclusive minutes. WhatsApp: free on your data. We give general guidance only โ€” we can't open or touch any network account, and we NEVER ask for passwords, one-time codes, banking or card details.
